What began as a pioneering women's hospital under Dr. Mani Akkineni's vision has grown into a comprehensive family wellness centre — with 10 specialist doctors, the region's most advanced diagnostics, and a holistic approach that treats the whole person and the whole family.

Dr. Mani Akkineni is a distinguished OB-GYN with 40+ years of clinical experience across India and the United States. A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and A4M Board Certified in Anti-Aging Medicine, she founded Akkineni Women's Hospital with a vision to bring world-class women's healthcare to Vijayawada.
Under her leadership, AWC has grown from a dedicated women's hospital to a comprehensive family wellness centre — pioneering robotic surgery, advanced diagnostics, and integrative medicine in Andhra Pradesh.

Akkineni Women's Hospital established in Vijayawada by Dr. Mani Akkineni with a mission to redefine women's care in AP.
Level-3 NICU
Commissioned one of Andhra Pradesh's first Level-3 NICUs — the highest level of neonatal intensive care.
Fertility Centre
Launched the Akkineni Fertility Centre with IVF, IUI and ICSI — bringing world-class reproductive medicine to Vijayawada.
3D Mammogram
Installed 3D digital mammography — among the first hospitals in the region to offer tomosynthesis breast screening.
DEXA & Modular OTs
Added DEXA bone density scanning, new modular operating theatres and expanded the diagnostics suite.
MP Inauguration
Inaugurated new facilities with Member of Parliament Smt. Purandeswari — cementing Akkineni's position as AP's leading women's hospital.
